Greetings from The Gates Board of Directors!

Your board of directors has been busy! Although not everything is visual, we are working behind the scenes to make the gates a better place to live!

Roadway / RV Storage Lot Improvements

We are pleased to announce we have selected Platinum Paving as the vendor to make the necessary improvements to our Roadways and the RV Storage Lot!

Roadways
As you may have noticed, there are several orange markings along Gateway Drive. These are areas they've deemed critical based on a recent roadway study. They will also assist us with a long-term plan to preserve our roadways.

Note: Although crews will be directing traffic, all residents and guests should use extreme caution upon entering and exiting the community during this time.

RV Storage Lot
Improvements to the storage lot include; paving the driveway up to the gate, installing asphalt millings inside the lot for longevity, and adding assigned parking space markers.

Those who rent space will receive an email with information surrounding moving their property while the work is completed.

Residents will notice recreational vehicles temporarily parked in driveways and the clubhouse parking lot during this time. If you need to park in the clubhouse parking lot, please gain board approval by emailing the board at thegatesbod@gmail.com.

We've asked crews working in the storage lot to utilize the rear gates to minimize construction traffic throughout the neighborhood. Therefore the rear gates will be held open during construction times.

All work is scheduled to begin on July 5th, with a completion date of July 8th*
*Weather permitting

Pool Information

We hope everyone is enjoying their time at the Pool. To ensure everyone has a pleasant time. Please review the following housekeeping items:

  • Key fobs are required for entry.
  • Clean up after your party.
  • Return furniture to its proper location.
  • Do not prop open the pool gates.
  • Close umbrellas after use.
  • Grills are prohibited on common property.
  • Smoking or Vaping around the pool or playground area is prohibited.

Community Reminders

  • Yard Maintenance, please remove all grass clippings from the street.
  • Please do not allow your pets to roam free; pets must be on a leash if not within a fenced yard.
  • For the safety of all, please abide by all traffic signs within the community.
  • Do Not Feed the Geese!
  • Buring material of any kind is prohibited on any homesite, or on common property.
  • The board does not manage the community's Facebook page. Have a board-related concern or question? Email the board or Sentry Mgt.

Did you know?

  • The Gates has a website: https://thegatesatsavannahquarters.com/.
  • Prior to making any alterations to the exterior of your property, you will need to gain approval from the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). More information can be found on the community website or contact Sentry Mgt.
  • All trash/recycle bins should be removed from the curb within 24hrs after pick up. Bins should be stored out of view from the street. Visit atlanticwaste.com/pooler for pick-up schedules. Items must be placed in your Bin(s) to be picked up. Yard Waste should be placed in brown paper bags.
  • Pet waste contains a variety of diseases. Pet waste that is not disposed of properly carries these contaminants into our waterways. Grassy areas also suffer from pet waste not being cleaned up. Parks, trails, your own back yard, and even the common areas in the community can be damaged by pet waste due to the different nutrients in the waste of domestic pets; unlike waste from wild animals, pet waste does not biodegrade quickly.
  • To help keep our community clean, pet waste stations are located to the left of the clubhouse, at the triangle, and outside the rear gate.
  • If you need to park at the clubhouse overnight or require the use of a POD, please advise the board ahead of time.
    • We all love a little R&R; please be courteous to your neighbors and minimize noise levels after 9 PM.
